January 2021 – Sterile Geeks VR was among 3 finalists selected for the ongoing development of their Augmented Reality STEAMVision concept for the Sterile Processing Industry.
April 2021 – Sterile Geeks VR after having its initial pitch proposal accepted, received a formal invitation from the National Science Foundation to submit a full proposal for a $256,000 SBIR Phase 1 grant.
September 2021 – Sterile Geeks VR was among 15 veteran owned companies selected as a finalists in the PenFed Foundation ignition challenge. The top 3 vote getters in the contest were selected for the chance to win a $25,000.
November 2021 – CEO Scotty Jones was one of 241 veteran entrepreneurs globally to be selected to attend the first cohort of 2022. A partnership of WeWork and Bunker Labs, Veterans in Residence is a six-month business incubator that provides veteran and military family member entrepreneurs with a community of peers, business support, and workspace. Cohort 2022-A runs from January – June 2022
September 2022 – Sterile Geeks VR was awarded nearly $255,000 to continue research and development of its STEAMVision concept. The company will be eligible to submit a proposal in six months to receive Phase II funding totaling $1 million.
