What is STEAMVision?

STEAMVision is a mixed reality based concept technology solution created by Sterile Geeks VR CEO Scotty Jones to streamline daily sterile processing department (SPD) processes, education, and training. 

The word STEAM in the name stands for

  • Augmented
  • Material
 
It is also one of the most critical components in sterilization. The Hololens 2 headset is the foundation for the software because of its comfort, power, and remote capabilities.

We are pleased to announce, in September 2022, STEAMVision was awarded a $255,000 Phase 1 SBIR grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to continue with research and development of the STEAMVision concept.
